Materials and Characterization

The Marcus Nanotechnology Microscopy and Imaging Center provides significant research capabilities for the development of nanoscience and nanotechnology. The suite comprises a series of equipment rooms with separate control and utility rooms within the Center. Instrumentation supported in this facility includes biomolecule, nanoparticle and polymer surface patterning; surface and particle characterization, as well as numerous imaging techniques including, TEM; SEM; Variable Pressure SEM; Confocal Microscopy; Raman Spectroscopy; Thermal Analysis; Scanning Probe Techniques & X-Ray Diffraction

These facilities are open to the academic community from a wide range of disciplines including electrical, mechanical, chemical, materials, and biomedical engineering as well as physics, chemistry, and biology.
